Steps
1. Receive child/caregiver into a comfortable seat
2. Perform five moments of hand hygiene
3. Establish rapport to child/caregiver (refer steps)
4. Explain procedure to child/care giver (refer steps)
5. Provide privacy
6. Support child/caregiver to understand that home accidents are preventable (e.g. Cuts, choking, poisoning, drowning, falls)
7. Elicit information from parents on the home environment
8. Educate on safeness of the following: Gas, fire, electrical, heating and cooking, glass, chemicals, medicines and detergents
9. Emphasize on the following: dryness, contaminant, ventilation, cleanliness and regular maintenance of the home
